Hardware Engineer

At Singular Aircraft, the Hardware team is responsible for the design, development, validation, and maintenance of the electronic systems that make up the UAS, ensuring their compliance with the functional, regulatory, and quality requirements established in the management system (ISO 9001).

As a Hardware Engineer, you will participate in the complete cycle of electronic design, ensuring requirements traceability, proper document management, technical verification, incident management, and compliance with internal engineering, quality, and certification processes.

Functions and responsibilities

  • • Design and update digital and analog electronic circuits for embedded systems of the UAS.
  • •Integrate sensors, actuators, communications, and electronic modules.
  • • Conduct functional, thermal, and EMC testing, documenting results according to internal procedures.
  • • Analyze technical requirements and ensure design–verification–validation traceability.
  • • Prepare technical documentation (schematics, BOM, test reports) in accordance with the quality system.
  • • Collaborate with firmware, GNC, integration, and certification to resolve technical issues.
  • • Participate in design reviews and in the change control process

Requirements

  • • Electronic Engineering, Aerospace, Telecommunications or similar.
  • • Knowledge of electronic design, communication buses (UART, CAN, SPI, I2C), and CAD tools (Altium/KiCad/OrCAD).
  • • Experience in laboratory testing and use of instrumentation (oscilloscope, logic analyzer, multimeter).
  • • Ability to work with technical documentation, traceability, and quality standards.
  • • Professional English (B1–C1).
  • • Experience <2 years in a similar position.

Valuables

  • • Experience in UAS, automotive, defense, or regulated sectors.
  • • Knowledge of technical standards (DO-160, MIL-STD, EMC/EMI).
  • • Familiarity with configuration control, PLM/PDM, and requirements tools.
  • • Knowledge in embedded development (C/C++).
