Senior Mechanical Engineer

The senior mechanical engineer will be responsible for leading the design, development, and validation of mechanical components and systems for our unmanned aerial platforms (UAS) and related systems. This role requires a strong background in CAD design, structural simulation, material selection, manufacturing, and assembly, as well as the ability to technically lead complex projects in collaboration with other departments such as electronics, GNC, production, and quality.
Your work will be key in all phases of product development: from initial conception and detailed design to functional validation, industrialization, and production support. A strong results orientation, innovation capability, critical thinking, and technical leadership are expected to guide junior engineers, ensure design quality, and optimize processes.
Responsibilities
- Create and modify 3D models and technical drawings using CATIA to meet project requirements.
- Perform engineering analysis and simulations to validate the design and ensure its functionality.
- Work closely with other engineers and design teams to develop innovative solutions.
- Generate and maintain technical documentation related to designs and processes.
- Participate in design reviews and provide constructive feedback.
- Guide and mentor junior engineers in the use of CATIA and design practices.
Must have
- Advanced experience in the use of CATIA V5/V6 // Siemens NX or later versions.
- Strong understanding of principles of mechanical engineering and industrial design.
- Ability to identify problems and propose effective solutions.
- Excellent communication skills to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and meet tight deadlines.
- The ability to identify problems and develop effective solutions is essential. This includes critical analysis of designs and the implementation of improvements based on data and simulations.
Desirable
- English Proficiency Level
- Programming in Python or similar
- Experience in CAM manufacturing and production processes
- Previous experience in manufacturing processes for aerospace technology
- The ability to manage multiple projects and meet tight deadlines is essential. This involves effective planning and prioritization of tasks.
